Deviation Actions
How do you usually decide to watch somebody? You come across one or few pictures, find them interesting, go to the artist's page and look through his/her gallery. And if you really like the most of deviation, you make a decision to watch this deviant, in order to receive his/her latest pictures and activity.
That's how it should work at the best.
Because it seems it isn't so in my case .
Nominally I have 71 watchers. But it's more likely that the most of them doesn't like my pictures, even doesn't take a look at them, no to speak of leaving comments.
Probably it's due to that there are some people who started to watch me only because of few (sometimes because of one!) pictures, but I don't do more deviations in that style, and they don't like the rest of what I do...
So you will do me a great favour if you will ponder about if it worth to be my watcher.
And if you'll decide that it's not, you are welcome to stop watching.
To be honest, it bothers me a lot - to have so big nominal number of watchers, who actually don't like my deviations...

The new year
Hello to everyone who sees this!
I had not been online since Christmas, but I spent that time surprisingly well, mostly reading (which is always a good pastime for me). Nothing special or outstanding happened, but I do prefer peace and quiet over any exciting emergencies.
Now when my winter holidays are over (why do they call such a nice thing "break"?! It is always holidays for me), I am intended on returning to dA and my creative activity.
I have so many things to do in February!
manage my dA notifications (I have got over 1500 of them since Christmas)
make entries for the January rounds of the two designer challenges I am partici
Some announcements
Some unrelated, but equally important, things I felt like sharing with anyone passing by.
First of all, musicmermaid (https://www.deviantart.com/musicmermaid) is making another of her wonderful collaboration projects, this time dedicated to the ever amazing The Little Mermaid. If you are interested and want to participate (which I earnestly recommend), you can learn all the details and sign up here.
Another thing I wanted to tell for a while. Since I am not often online, and in fact not often happen to get access to computer at all, it prevents me from dedicating as much time to my personal projects, be it drawing or writing, as I used to. But instead, I will try to post here as
It feels great to be back!
So, indeed it does! I have not been on dA for - I cannot believe it! - for three months! I have got over 4000 notifications! While the most of them is just the mentions about my pixel gems being used in the other deviants' comments, journals etc, there are also some nice pictures from the dollmaking groups I am a part of, as well as comments to my own works. I shall catch up with replying and commenting as soon as I can!
Once again, it feels great to return on dA with its inspiring atmosphere.
I cannot wait to get back into creative work, there is so many ideas asking to be brought into life!

I sort of enjoy having lots of watchers, even though the majority of them do very little "watching" - no comments, faves or anything. They are welcome to be included among my watchers, even if they have no other role in my life. If they don't comment or fave, I figure that doesn't mean they dislike my work, rather they've moved on. If they expect me to watch them in return, oh that's so nice, I'll watch them if/when they produce something I really like.
I've done the same thing myself - some of the people I started watching back in 2007 I don't pay much attention to by now, and some of them probably aren't even at dA any more. I suppose I could unwatch them, but I have no desire to do that unless they behave badly to me, which hasn't happened.
Sometimes I will watch someone after seeing one or two pieces that I really really like, but nothing they post after that particularly appeals to me. So I'm a passive watcher of some people for that reason too.
